Anchor Families provides care and treatment for youth with serious emotional and behavioral problems in family-like settings. The Lighthouse is a group home for females ages 6 to 21, the Beacon is for males ages 6 to 21 and the Windmill is a semi-supervised independent living apartment focusing on employment and higher education. All of these non-secure programs have an emphasis on independent living, emotional stability, social and recreational growth and improved educational performance. This home-away-from home environment works in conjunction with the child's case plan and also provides a close association with the child's biological family if reunification is the goal. Referrals are accepted from probation officers, parole officers, the courts, Department of Child Services caseworkers and the Department of Education. |
